Our internal rescue group, The Heigl Hounds Of Hope, saves vulnerable dogs from high kill shelters in Southern California. Many of the dogs we rescue have suffered from neglect, abandonment and abuse.

We ensure that all of our Heigl Hounds receive the necessary medical care, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and, if they are adults, spayed or neutered. If you adopt a puppy from us that is too young to be spayed or neutered, then we require a deposit that will be returned when you send us proof of the sterilization. Dogs with behavioral concerns receive top-notch obedience training prior to placement. Our goal is to ensure that your new companion arrives fully equipped with all the skills necessary to make a successful adjustment to their new home and family.
The adoption process begins with an application form and concludes after the successful completion of a two-week trial period designed to ensure that your new pet is the right fit for your family.
